Misako demonstrates simplified arrangements/special flower arrangements for Japanese Tea Ceremonies

Our October 8th workshop was held in the Khandallah Town Hall. Misako gave an excellent introduction to the history and rituals surrounding 'Tea ceremony' traditions and chabana. Members then created a 'Simplified Arrangement' which share some of the characteristics of chabana. Members brought materials and containers based on Book 4, lesson 8.

Misako Ito gave us a presentation of chabana and a summary of the tea ceremony. It was extremely interesting and we enjoyed learning the difference between ikebana and chabana.
